Baretto Espresso Bar on Grattan St, Carlton, is a hot spot for students, academics and coffee-lovers alike. It has recently commenced the enviroselect program.

Enviroselect has conducted an environmental assessment and engaged in regular consultations with Baretto to identify the ways it can improve its environmental performance. Through its participation in the enviroselect program, Baretto is currently working towards implementing various initiatives, including:

• installing energy efficient lights
• ensuring all taps have low-flow aerators
• providing both general waste and recycling bins
• displaying signage throughout their store to encourage behavioural change from its staff and customers
• composting all of its organic waste (including coffee grinds)
• sourcing recyclable coffee cups and organic coffee

Baretto is also selling enviroselect KeepCups.
